The USB interface on the AsteRx-m2 has a lot going on. There are two ACMs, a mass storage device that enumerates empty by default (like a card reader with no card inserted, to present a volume to the host, set setUMSDOnConnect to true1)), a USB networking interface using the RDNIS driver, a device 'uas' (not sure what that is), and an emulated CD-ROM which contains a copy of the USB driver installer for windows.
The default firmware brings up the USB port as 1.1 which is fine for basic use, but gets bogged down quickly. It can be set to USB 2.0 by uploading AsteRx-m2_USB_2_0.suf at one of the various firmware upload interfaces. It is in asterx-m2-fwp-v4.8.2_0.zip and applying it will cause the unit to reboot.
