Explosive Rounds

*CAUTION* *EXTREMELY DANGEROUS*

How to create a sure ticket to the FBI watch-list. Like it sounds, rounds that explode after firing. These are just a bit dangerous, since the timing is completely manual, as is the ignition. To use these with the cannon, light the round fuse simultaneously with the cannon fuse, and drop into the barrel. If you made them correctly, they should slide perfectly down.

Materials

Gunpowder
1“ PVC pipe. It takes approximately 2” per round, so figure for however many you want.
1“ PVC pipe caps. 2 per round.
Cement glue
Sandpaper
Fuse

Steps

Cut the PVC pipe into approximately 2” sections.
Drill 1/8“ holes in half of your pipe caps, on the hemispherical end.
Insert and glue 1 (one) pipe cap (the one without a hole) onto an end of the sectioned pipe.
Wait a bit (~5 min) for the glue to dry.
Loosely fill with gunpowder.
Glue other cap.
Some caps have little bumps on opposite sides of the cylindrical face. Sand these off.
Insert fuse so that it completely penetrates to the other side of the round, leave around 5” outside. This depends on how long you want the fuse to burn, burn rates depend on the fuse you buy, and are measured in feet/sec. So you do the math for however long after being ignited you want it to explode. Note that rounds are rarely airborne for more than 20s.
