Don't know a whole lot about this. Took a gamble on a nondescript ebay listing with bad pictures in May 2026. Described as having been from an Atmos Marlyn mapping UAV - I found marketing materials describing that as having a Topcon B111A in the base configuration, and a Septentrio (no model named) as an available upgrade.

Once it arrived, I popped the can to find a B111A - initially a bit disappointing, but I think it has a lot of potential.

Mounted on a custom, and largely unmarked, carrier board, the B111A is under an ENORMOUS metal can, thankfully very easily opened. The carrier board has a USB-C port (which enumerates as a single ACM TTY on windows and linux), annoying locking/cage type microSD slot, and a locking JST connector often seen on UAVs. There is a coin cell soldered to the bottom of the board, maybe a CR2450? The marking is covered with the soldered and spot-welded mounting strap.

A ~6“ coaxial cable, terminating in female SMA on the loose end, and u.FL on the inside. It is also soldered to the carrier board. The carrier has another u.FL connector on the top, next to an unpopulated two pin JST connector footprint, but it's not clear if it goes anywhere. The B111A also has a second coaxial connector on top - similar to the AsteRx, it supports two antennas in software (with attitude/heading measurements on some license levels).
